About this service

Evaluate the lens before restoring it

Many headlight problems involve oxidized outer plastic, but not all cloudiness is on the surface. Cracks, internal condensation, damaged reflectors, deep pitting or previous failed repairs may require replacement rather than cosmetic refinishing.

We review the lens condition and explain likely improvement before proceeding. Restoring appearance is not a substitute for testing and repairing a malfunctioning light.

What to know

A focused, case-by-case service

01

Check both lenses

Identify exterior haze versus damage that may be inside or below the lens surface.

02

Determine restoration suitability

Discuss what sanding or polishing may improve and what it cannot repair.

03

Refine eligible outer surfaces

Use an appropriate restoration process when the lens condition supports it.

04

Review protection and upkeep

Discuss protection and ongoing care to reduce future deterioration.

Choosing the right level of care

Useful for surface oxidation, not failed hardware

If the headlights are yellowed or dull from outside exposure, restoration may be worth considering. If they leak, flicker, are cracked or have internal damage, a mechanical or electrical repair may be the appropriate next step.

Headlight Restoration FAQs

Answers to practical questions about the service, scope and what to expect.

No. Faulty wiring, bulbs, housings and damaged internal components need separate repair.

Do you restore headlights as a standalone service?

Ask for an assessment with photos. Availability and pricing depend on the condition, location and appointment schedule.
